EvoXvantage brings the long tail of your supplier base under management: the hundreds of small vendors nobody negotiated, nobody consolidated, and nobody has looked at in years. Our experts do the work. EvoXedge, our AI-powered platform, accelerates the diagnosis. Founder-led, with senior attention from day one.
McKinsey puts tail spend at eighty to ninety percent of all purchased items, accounting for only the bottom ten to twenty percent of total spend, and estimates five to fifteen percent savings available inside it.
The Hackett Group’s 2025 Tail Spend Management Study puts the gap more sharply. More than half of companies report tail spend above ten percent of total spend, and only four percent of them actively manage most of it. Companies running a program capture seven to ten percent, against a potential the study places at sixteen to twenty percent. Sixty-four percent of procurement leaders describe themselves as dissatisfied with how their organization handles it.
Read those together and the picture is consistent. The money is not hidden. It is unattended.

The work is sequential, and skipping a step is why tail spend programs stall. It begins with reconciliation: merging duplicate vendor records so one company resolves to one relationship, classifying transactions into categories a buyer can act on, and establishing what is being bought, from whom, at what rate, and under what agreement if any.
Only then do the decisions become ordinary. Consolidate where volume is fragmented across suppliers who could be one supplier. Retire vendors with negligible volume and no reason to exist. Reprice what stayed against the volume you actually give them.
This fits you if your supplier count has grown past the point anyone can hold in their head, or if you have run a sourcing program on the top of the spend curve and know the bottom of it was never touched. It is a weaker fit if your vendor master is already clean. We will tell you that on the first call rather than three weeks in.
Tail spend hides in the places nobody reads: invoices that never met a contract, licenses nobody uses, rates that drifted. EvoXedge reads invoices, contracts and general ledger data together and surfaces the specific findings worth acting on.
The relationship, stated plainly
EvoXedge does the reading, our experts make the calls, and neither replaces the people who own the relationships. The platform finds it. We get it back.
We merge duplicate vendor records, classify transactions, and establish what you are actually buying. Typically five to fifteen days depending on vendor count, because EvoXedge does the heavy reading.
Consolidate the categories where volume is fragmented. Retire the vendors with no reason to exist. Reprice the relationships that stayed.
Every finding gets a named owner and a close date, and moves through a pipeline to resolved. This is the stage most firms hand back to you. It is the one we stay for.
We route future buying so the compliant choice is the easy choice, and the tail does not quietly rebuild over the next eighteen months.
“Across more than two decades inside global financial institutions, Bomsi’s work has contributed to over $20 million in annual savings, with cost reductions typically in the 20 to 35 percent range.”
We take a fundamentally different approach, bringing the unmanaged part of your supplier base under control so the savings are real, repeatable, and scalable. EvoXvantage does not just tell you where the money is leaking; we drive each finding through to recovered, so the result holds long after we leave.
Our advisory board brings together distinguished executives with decades of experience in financial services, operations, and technology, ensuring every engagement is backed by world-class strategic insight.
We price two ways, and you choose. A fixed fee, agreed before we start, so the number does not move. Or a share of what we recover, so we are paid out of money you did not have before.
The first conversation is a discovery call at no cost. From there, a cost and process audit, then a transformation roadmap, which we typically deliver in sixty to ninety days.
Book a focused 30-minute working session. We will show you how much of your supplier base is sitting unmanaged and what bringing it under control is worth. No long engagement required to get value from the first conversation.
